COME CELEBRATE MINDFUL HARLEM’S THREE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
At Vinateria on Tuesday, April 25, from 5:30 TO 8 PM
“The Heart that Gives, Gathers.” Tao Te Ching
Please join us for a benefit celebration to support Mindful Harlem, our volunteer-based community center, now in its third year providing tools for awakening and freedom, and a refuge for residents of Harlem. Our vision is to serve people in learning meditation and the Dharma in community. More than 200 people have taken our eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction classes, and 30 to 40 join our twice-weekly meditation drop-and sits. All of our activities are donation-based, and we try to serve everyone who is interested, regardless of their ability to pay.) This practice is enriched by your presence and your wisdom, and we want to honor this by getting together in celebration.
We invite you to join us at Vinateria on Tuesday April 25, from 5:30 TO 8 PM. We’ll provide wine, hors d’oeurves and conversation with our extended community. There will be a silent auction for a variety of local restaurants and services. We hope that you can support us at a level that is comfortable for you, as suggested below. Your donations, which are tax-deductible, will allow us to serve more people. But in keeping with our practice, we welcome everyone, and we have tickets available for supporters who can’t afford such a donation right now. And if you can’t make our celebration, we hope you’ll consider a donation to our work.
VInateria is located at 2211 Frederick Douglass Blvd, New York, NY 10026, next door to Mindful Harlem.
